Close to the lake and easy to find. The food was nice and there was a good selection. The Christmas decorations in the lobby were lovely and brought a cozy feeling to the hotel.
The room and bathroom were very old and needed updating. The heating was not working properly and the room was very cold.

It is situated right on the shore of Lake Balaton, 30 sec after leaving the hotel you can take a swim, it is also close to the bus stop that would take you to the city center, nice lobby, small indoor pool with jacuzzi. Good breakfast.
The hotel is still stuck in the past era: it is all old, with some small improvements to reflect 21st century. The staff does not smile or return greetings, I think they are used to German guests, not quite good with English speaking guests. The location is around 45min walk to the city center and the railway station. Their advertised price for double room is 50eur per night per person in high season, which is more like French coast price. It is dirty everywhere. There is no air condition in the room with 35c outside. Wifi is helplessly slow.

Aspects to enjoy on my Christmas stay were the nearby lake, which added a great view to the hotel surroundings. the food offered was decent enough and provided a good atmosphere.
My Christmas stay was not as good as it could have been due to the very outdated decor and poor smoking conditions present throughout the hotel. It was disappointing to see that the hotel did not provide a proper cleaning service, as I found the rooms to be less than clean upon arrival.
